Welcome to The World Federation of Neuroscience Nurses

This website provides information on the mission and goals of this organization; contact information for nurses around the world; meeting information; and research grant applications. Applications for membership to The WFNN are also available.

Founded in 1969, The WFNN initially consisted of nursing organizations representing five member countries. During the past three decades, a number of neuroscience nursing organizations have been established and have joined the WFNN. In addition, there has been increased development of subspecializations within neuroscience nursing and in 1999, neuroscience nursing specialty organizations were allowed to join the WFNN. Today, there are 15 member organizations representing 32 countries, approximately 5,000 nurses, from six continents.
